In March 2018, few weeks after Cornelius arrived in Australia and joined his new school - Glenroy Specialist School, he participated in an Art Show on behalf of his school, along with some of his school mates. His art won the first price under his category and he was given a certificate with two vouchers. The first voucher was worth a $100 and given to him while the second was $300 awarded for his school. He used the $100 voucher to purchase his art materials. In August 2018, the family was advised by the medical insurance provider that Cornelius' condition is not covered so the family is now raising funds to assist with his medical expenses. His dad (currently studying in Melbourne, Australia) had painted some artworks from the resources Cornelius purchased to help raise funds for Cornelius' expenses.
